A Note to our Customers:
The 2024 edition of the EM 385-1-1 updates the validity period for many safety training certificates. While the exact duration varies by subject, once fully implemented, most training credentials (such as Fall Protection Competent Person) will require annual refresher training rather than the previous 2-year cycle.
At this time, Ascendant Safety Services is continuing to issue 2-year certificates while closely monitoring local enforcement guidelines. Should the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Fort Hood enforce the 1-year refresher requirement, we will honor all active 2-year certificates issued by Ascendant Safety Services by providing free refresher training to carry your workers through the remainder of their original 2-year term.
Moving forward from that point, we will transition to issuing 1-year certificates and adjust our pricing structure accordingly to account for the revised duration.
Note: Free refresher training applies exclusively to original certificates issued directly by Ascendant Safety Services.
